Thanks, Matt!

How in the world did you find THAT? <laughing>  That's about as well hidden an option as I've ever seen, but once found it works perfectly.  Thank you again!

Joe,

On the drop down for the Object Table, there is a "Show columns" selection. "Custom" needs to be selected for your modified columns.

I have no problem clicking on the column heading to sort the columns.

Hope that helps,

I'm trying to train myself to use the table view.  While in many ways it's just a re-factoring of the data, there are enough functional differences that make it more useful than the tree view in many scenarios.  However, I've got a couple of quibbles right now that are just annoying enough to make me close the table.

1. The preferences don't seem to work, specifically the column selection.  I got to Preferences > Remote Systems > IBM i > Table view and there are a bunch of preferences, including "Specify columns and column order" but unfortunately changing the columns on that dialog doesn't seem to change how the table is displayed.

2. The columns are not sortable.  I'd really like to be able to click on the various column headings to sort them as needed.

Again, I'm trying to work with it and there are enough benefits that I should be able to use it.  But those quibbles are still an issue.  Maybe enough that I'll put in an RFE when I get a chance.

I use the Object Table view for source rather than the Remote Systems view. It shows all the source member details. The Work With option has great filtering.

Just a suggestion,

Subject: [WDSCI-L] Source Member Text

Is there an option to have the source member text be displayed next to the member name in the Remote Systems view? I have my Work With Member selections for each of the various source types but it would be nice to see the Member Text to assist me to more quickly locate and identify the member I want to edit. Even the workspace tab nor the hover information does show the member text. I know the text isn't too important but to an old WRKMBRPDM user seeing the text does permit quicker identification of other source members for reference.

Thanks.
