Hi Danny,

Generally this occurs when you open a member and it includes a copy or include member where the library is not in your list and the reference cannot be resolved. If you have annotation message types turned on, you should notice a red circle with an X showing the file that cannot be resolved. *(In a future release we'll be turning on QuickFix to help quickly add a library to resolve these missing references.)

The refresh ICON on the Outline view is what you SHOULD be able to press. If that button is disabled, it may be an error or taking a long time to attempt to find the missing resource (You can verify this by looking at the bottom of the screen where the parse progress bar is displayed. If it's still running, the refresh Icon may remain disabled until the parse completes.)

If the parse is complete and the button is still disabled, please look at your .meta data log.

If there is an error in the log, please contact IBM support and open a PMR so we can get this issue resolved.

Hope this helps!

Steve Ferrell

Subject: [WDSCI-L] Press Refresh to update view

I am on 9.6.0.6 now, and I have had a question for quite a while now, and never seen anyone else ask it, so I assumed I should know, but I do not.

When I open Files in the outline view I often get the message to Press Refresh to update view. I have never been able to determine which refresh I am being told to press, because the one above the outline is grayed out, and nothing seems to happen on the other side of the screen if I press that refresh.

Thanks & Regards,
