When you mentioned the "Show workspace path" preference, I thought you were
asking about the workspace location.
Instead, I think now you are asking about the specific source file location
of the source file you have opened.

I can't find any preference to remove that.

In my RDi 9.6.0.5, when I check the box and click Apply, the path shows.
Without closing the preference window, I uncheck then apply and the path
goes away.

I'm just wondering, do you see that same behavior? Being able to show and
unshow without closing the preference window?
