The OP said though Edmund that their division had been sold - so how would they go about transferring ownership in order to still be able to pay the annual maintenance fees?

If they can't they will be stuck with a big bill to re-purchase.

RDi is not tied to a serial number.
Typically your individual PC's have their own activation kits and can work
with any IBM i.
So the good news is that you are good to go.

Subject: [WDSCI-L] Transfer of RDI licenses
Date: Thu, Feb 21, 2019 11:59 AM

I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction.

My division has been sold to another company and we are moving to a new
machine. We currently have two licenses to RDi that I want to transfer
to the new serial number once the move is done. I can't seem to find
the correct place on IBM's site to get this started. I've been able to
reach all our other vendors via email. I tried sending an email from
IBM's site but it's been days without a response. We don't handle the
administration of our current machine so I don't have an IBM contact to
reach out to.

Has anyone else gone through this process?

Any pointers would be appreciated. Thank you.

Linda Wagner
