FWIW, I performed a modest test:
- Opened Connection A
- Open a source member for edit through Connection A
- DISCONNECT A
- Save As on the source member
- In the pop-up navigation window, Opened Connection B to a different server - not "live" until now
- Saved source member through Connection B

I did get one or two prompts to log back on to Connection A, but cancelled these. Admittedly my test couldn't replicate your situation - i.e. entire server failure!

Good luck,
Brian.

That "Save as" likel;y works fine if you have a current live connection. Problem is, mine dropped and the first thing RDi tries to do is connect back - that fails.

Roger, what level of RDi are you using?

When I try this, I have the ability to FILE > SAVE AS from the Menu. The
navigation window that pops up allows me to save the current source
member to a different connection (server). I can even create a new
connection within this navigation window, if necessary.

HTH,
Brian.

Our development LPAR went down today - appears to be a hardware issue of some sort - IBM onsite now.

I have an edited source member open in RDi but can't save it as I have no connection.  I thought I could save locally or to our production LPAR but don't see that as an option.

I have copied it into Notepad++ for safekeeping.  Is there a way to save locally or switch to another connection from within RDi?

Thanks.
