I have test Apache servers that I often need to promote files into the production server. I have a User Action (Prompt first) in RDi to do it. It prompts the OS COPY and allows me to change the destination (in my case just remove the "T" from the test directory name). The AUT(*INDIR) parameter makes the target file inherit the permissions of the target directory.

COPY OBJ(&FP) TODIR(&FCP) REPLACE(*YES) AUT(*INDIR)

Subject: [WDSCI-L] Creating new file in IFS using copy and paste - Authorities lost

When working in RD1 (Version: 9.6.0.4) and I want to clone a php file I right click and select copy and then paste on the required directory, then use F2 to rename.

Doing this not all the authorities are retained. As an Example after the paste the authorities are

*PUBLIC *EXCLUDE
<myProfile> *RWX

So I have to manually add QTMHHTTP every time.

Is there a better way to do this ?
