Matt,

Yup, I have issues with RDI all the time, this fix pack-04 is no different.

Here is just a little bit more information on what I did...

Originally, I had about 8 subroutines code in sub procedure. I discovered that I need to use re-use them...

So, I cut & pasted all these "internal" subroutines coded inside a sub-procedure to the bottom of my program. And manually converted them to stand alone procedures. So, a lot of cutting & pasting, and renumber of my sequence lines. And of course I had to add parameters too.

I did a manual refresh of the outline view, and tried to use that, and it did not work. And I remember that "usually" I don't have a problem with the outline view, if I resequence the line-numbers. And that is when I discovered it did not work...

And typically, when I do a whole bunch of editing like that in RDI, that is where RDI gets screwed up. It is not used to a lot of cut & pasting and re-Engineering code.

That is how I typically "Break" RDI, because it is NOT designed to handle a HIGH WORK-LOAD of editing. <Sad Face>

Or at least that has been my experience.

I have been using RDI for over 12-years. So, I am not a newbie at all. RDI is completely awesome when it works, and does not lock up!!! <bravo> But, all these little issues drive me crazy. It is like a death by a 1,000 paper-cuts.

Oh well, closes down member, and re-open, or restart RDI to keep it working. Then try restarting with "-clean" or build a new workspace. Clear your cache & restart it to clear out errors. Just wish it were a heck of lot more reliable and ENTERPRISE solid. OH well, I expect too much.

PS. I was an Earlier Beta Tester! But I only got about 2-days of testing. And it is not every day that I do huge changes like I did today. I don't know how you could script something like that.

You have something messed up on your system. At the same version (slightly different plugins) my source re-sequences at save.

It my suggestion that you apply to be an early beta tester as you seem to have most of the problems ever seen with RDi. :-)

Hi,

Using RDI 9.6.0.4, and I have this set on:
Window > Preference > Remote Systems > Remote Systems LPEX Editor --> check-box "CHECKED" for "Resequence Lines at Save"...

Surprise!!! It does not work!!!

Works in old, broken in new... Oh well, just say "Oh well..." and continue on...

PS. Doing a manual re-sequence from the source menu works! But, then why have that Preference? If it does not work? I expect too much, I expect it to work. <My bad, maybe it is "just me">
