Matt,

A lot of our files have the LONG-NAME AND/OR ALIAS AS "MyLongNameForOrderNumber".

The Microshaft developers did not LIKE THELONGNAMESINALLCAPSSOWEADDEDDOUBLEQUOTES. So to preserve the "TitleCase" we had to use Double-Quotes like this "TheLongNamesInAllCapsSoWeAddedDoubleQuotes".

Which means until updated, I cannot use the alias fields. Yup, not my call, done a long time ago to make the MicroShaft people happy.

Besides, not all our files have ALIAS Names yet. That project was halted, no ROI.

So, I need to also see the text on the fields, I have no idea what some fields represent.

I guess the detail field view is no longer available. <disappointment>

SOP (Standard Operation Procedure). What was available in previous releases is now gone...

Spin the dial, and see if previous functionality remains on the next release. <Sarcasm>

On the file specs use ALIAS then they appear in the outline and show fields.

Hi,

I am using RDI 9.6.0.3 with **free. How do I see the complete file specs, sort of like DSPFFD. Which includes the long names and the text description?

I thought we could highlight the file, and select "Show Fields" or something. At least I thought I remember being able to do that...

Any ideas?
