Have you used the Alt-L Alt-C Alt-M combinations? They're another set of

select/copy/move things that might already do what you want, except that

Alt-C and Alt-M put the copied item after the current line.

Yes, I use the Alt+L and Alt+C/M keys all the time--that's my standard
method to move or copy code. The point of my RFE is to allow it to put the
copied/moved line before the current line. I don't need this all the time,
but it's a little clunky to do it where the only option is after the
current line.
