Hi John,
The 9.6.0.3 fix was intended to fix the memory issues that prevented you from using Live Model Parse and the Robust Outline.
Please go to Preferences, type in ILE RPG and select the ILE RPG under the tree node Remote Systems LPEX Editor, then click on the setting "Update the Outline view when text is changed in the editor". This will turn on Live Model Parse and the Robust Outline. I believe this should address your nested Data Structure as well.

So sad, IBM put out a new release and leave it still buggy. Nested data structures still don’t work.
