Ignore my previous advice. Using "Eclipse Marketplace" did not work
successfully for me. iSphere Spooled Files and iSphere 5250 Emulator were
both missing, and several preferences, specifically Label Decorations, were
missing. (It is possible that the problems I mentioned in my OP may have
mangled things that Eclipse Marketplace couldn't get past.) I tried
uninstalling iSphere, but reinstallation had the same issues. I tried
Brian's suggestion to download the ZIP archive and Install New Software
from the Local (unzipped) image, but no go.
I finally uninstalled RDi 9.6, rebooted, and reinstalled it. I used
Brian's suggestion again, and now I'm golden.
