Hi Jon,

By default, headless code coverage stores the generated code coverage
result file under the user's home directory. Headless CC uses the OS API
getpwnam() to get the working directory from the current user id. It could
be possible that the getpwnam() API does not return a valid value if the
user has not created a home library. In this case, headless CC has no
default location to write to, unless the user explicitly specifies an
output directory using the OUTDIR parameter.

Subject: [WDSCI-L] Headless code coverage ...
Date: Wed, Mar 14, 2018 5:02 PM

I don't know if I am missing a PTF or something but while the RDi code
coverage tool works just fine in RDi, the headless version just would
not work until I created a library that matched my user name. Something
I don't normally have.

I can't see anything in the command that allows me to specify the
library to use for the work file (which is what it appears to be
creating).

Anyone got any ideas?

Jon Paris
