So far I saw the following exception, when I started an Eclipse test
application in debug mode with VM property '-Djavax.net.debug=all':

***

Worker-7, called closeSocket()
Worker-7, handling exception: javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException:

So it seems that there is something wrong with the SSL certificate from
COMODO. Sadly I could not yet figure out how to solve the problem.

Any ideas?

I see the same problem with my RDi 9.6 installation. RDP 8.0 works fine.
I did not had time to install the Java unrestricted policy files for RDi
9.6 on my PC, but I strongly assume that the problem is related to:

After seeing iSphere 3.2.0 released, I thought I might should check for updates so within Rdi 9.6.0.1, I selected windows-> Preferences -> iSphere -> Updates to search for updates but I get error messages 'Failed to connect to iSphere Update Server' and others. Now each time I start Rdi, my error log have several error messages related to isphere. I tried the 'Transfer iSphere Library' but RDi still showing errors in error log. Another error message says 'Plugin Is starting early'.

Any ideas on what I did wrong and how to fix?

This is the link I have in windows-> Preferences -> iSphere -> Updates
http://sourceforge.net/p/isphere/code/HEAD/tree/trunk/build/iSphere%20Notifier/MANIFEST.MF?format=raw

I also tried this link in windows-> Preferences -> iSphere -> Updates
