Thank you for confirming the result.

I am working on a patch for iSphere and I hope that I get it done until
next weekend.

There will a checkbox on the iSphere "Library" preference page that let
you decide whether to use the iSphere JDBC connection manager or the
original IBM manager.

I hope that I can minimize the risk of failures with that switch. But of
course the next beta is a "true" beta version, because there are lots of
things in iSphere that use a JDBC connection, as there are:

* Spooled file subsystem
* Source file search
* Message file search
* Binding directory editor
* Journal Explorer

Nevertheless I count on you guys for testing!

Did I forget something?

Thomas.

Thomas,
For me
Existing connection reused.
Test 1 resulted in: "Could not get JDBC connection. Field jdbcConnection is null".
Test 2 resulted in: "Loaded from 'SYSIBM/SYSDUMMY1':Y".

That is correct. There is no wait time.

Thank you for keeping me up-to-date.

Hi Thomas,

Running the new test project result: Could not get JDBC connection. Field jdbcConnection is null.
By the way, I don't see any wait time. The message pops up immediately.

The test project was a bit too quick & dirty. I uploaded a new
version, which waits until the RSECorePlugin is completely initialized
and then loads the connection combo box entries. It displays an error
dialog when a JDBC connection could not be created.
