I finally found it, bright where Rex said, just had to poke around a bit inside there.

They want all there stuff inside an IBM folder I guess. It seems it should be easier to install, quicker to find. Ah well...

Thanks a lot for your help Jon, Rex...

Rex has told you where to find it. I simply right click it and add it tot he dock.

BUT - I think IBM have done a very poor job here. There's no reason they could not have put the App where you expect to find it (i.e. in Applications - or at least - only one level down).

I'm surprised it fooled you though since IM is equally well hidden!

Part of my issue was my unfamiliarity with how things are done on the Mac, but most of it was a lack in step-by-step in IBM instructions. In my opinion.

I finally downloaded the IBM Installation Manager after a couple of hoops, done.
Then I got Rational Developer for i downloaded, version 9.6.0.1.

But wait! Why can't I find it anywhere in Apps, or anywhere else! Where does it put it (I don't remember any prompting). The IBM Installer itself is there in Applications, under the IBM folder but I don't see RDi, nor Rational Developer for i, nor even IBM Rational Developer for i.

Jon,

That's a great resource, thank you. Once that is installed, assuming the
customer purchases the licenses can they be applied to this version or do
they need to download and reinstall from passport advantage?

While my download and install went flawlessly at 9.5.1 (albeit a bit
tedious) many customers just don't have the same experience. This looks far
easier.

Good morning,

I'm having trouble deciphering IBM's directions on downloading the trial
version of RDi to my Mac.
Jon Paris wrote an article about using RDi on Mac, but nothing about
downloading.
I signed in with my IBM-id, went to the RDi page, which said to first
download the IBM Download Director. I followed the most likely links to
download it, but all I get seems to be a fix pack.
Is there somewhere I can find GOOD instructions on this?
