Hi Danny, I just did this very thing and iSphere installed without a
problem on my 9.6.0.0. Windows 7 32-bit.

I got 3.1.1.r and not the 3.0 version you are seeing. Have a peep at
Preferences > Install/Update > Available Software Sites and double
check what's in there for iSphere. I have
