Hi Martin,
You can purchase RDi through 2 different channels. If you purchase it
through Passport Advantage (software channel) then there is no associated
IBM i serial number. If you purchase through the AAS (hardware channel)
then there is an associated serial number. Mind you this serial number is
never checked so it won't make any material difference.

will be working on his own in 2018.  He doesn't own an iSeries.  What
kind of license does he need so he can legally use RDi on various machines?
