I feel your pain, the Microsoft folks designed everything to go through as the exact same user-Profile, which makes debugging very hard. I always have to hold the job, and debug a very specific job by the job number.
They set up group profiles on the Microsoft server, but not on the IBM i, because they were lazy. They continue to win the battle to switching from DB2 to Microsoft sQL. Out of my control.

Unfortunately, there are multiple jobs for the same user, so that won't help.

You can specify a user name on the SEP.
