Steve,

That should work. But, do you have any yellow marks on the side of your LPEX window. Which might indicate a possible syntax error?

Sometimes a parsing/syntax error will stop the formatter from working. Check the "Error Log" view. That might give an indication of a possible error. After you check for syntax errors FIRST. <hint hint>

This is IBM first pass at the formatter, I use the Linoma RPG Wizard to format my code inside of RDI 9.5.1.2. They have been doing code RPGLE formatting for decades. I have been using their product since the mid 90's and I love it!

And it does not change all the dates on the source code, like the IBM RPGLE formatter.

You might have found a bug, so report it to IBM. Probably send them the code you are trying to format.

I have already report some bugs to the formatter by IBM. Back when it first came out. They said to use more experienced tools like the RPG-toolbox and/or Arcade.

I prefer the Linoma RPG toolbox myself. Being using it for over 2 decades! <Joy Joy>
