When dealing with RPGLE or CLP/CLLE, I totally agree, but when dealing with
a DSPF/PRTF, sometimes I want to open in with LPEX, other times with the
DDS Designer.

That is in 9.5.1.1, I believe it's in Remote systems -> IBM i ->
Object
Subsystem.
The open dialog also will remember its last open as option if not set.
