Mike,

Thanks for your great help and support for IBM! As far as I know, at least 95% (probably higher) of bugs/issues found have been resolved. You have given me outstanding support! When I can duplicate the error condition. Which sometimes can be very hard to figure that out.

It got really frustration for me the other day. Basically, I was just opening a member, and trying to get the outline view for research. I did a rebuilt of the outline mode, and that is basically when I got the unhandled error stuff only in the Error-log. The outline view remained "blanks" with no data.

I was going to send my error-log the Good Folks at IBM support. But, I re-ran RDI with the "-clean" option, which I guess wipes out the error-log. I no longer had it to export.

I have once again created a new work-space, and so far things seem to be going smooth with the new workspace. It has been at least 3-month since I created a new workspace.

But, next time I get that "unhandled-error" messages on Outline view. I will attach the entire Error log and open a PMR....

Strange thing, restarting RDI also fixes the outline view errors, a.k.a. unhandled exceptions. But, if you stuck restarting RDI 9.5.1.1 every so often, it makes you lose your place.

Anyway, next time it happens, I will export my error-log for analysis and open a PMR. I promise.

I have no clue what the "secure storage stuff" is. I do save my password for logging on to the several different IBM I boxes. Maybe the workspace got some pointers messed up. I am clueless on that.

PS. Thanks for the tip to end the Debugger job rather than RDI. I will try to remember that!

"Unhandled event loop exception"
Dunno, what did you do to cause this to occur?

"The Workspace exited with unsaved changes in the previous session; refreshing workspace to recover changes"
Indicates to me that RDI was likely ended using the task manager and Eclipse did not get a chance to save

"Saved passwords are not available for migrations to Secure Storage....."
I have not really researched this but I believe that this happens when you are using a workspace or config pulled along from a release of Eclipse prior to the use of secure storage that has saved passwords. Just an info message.

"What is the recommend solution? How do I fix this, and continue my work?"
What is "this" exactly?

"Do I need to uninstall & re-install RDI 9.5.1.1?"
It is unlikely.

If you get a hang during debug where RDI is stuck waiting on the debugger to respond try ending the debugger job rather than RDI. It will cause less grief in most cases...

Hi,

Using debug with RDI 9.5.1.1, and I get the following messages in the
Error-Log:

Unhandled event loop exception
The Workspace exited with unsaved changes in the previous session; refreshing workspace to recover changes Saved passwords are not available for migrations to Secure Storage.
Depre3cated authorization classes
(Org.eclipse.core.runtime.compatibility.auth) are not installed....

What is the recommend solution? How do I fix this, and continue my work?

Do I need to uninstall & re-install RDI 9.5.1.1?
