One of my programmers says it wasn't like that at 9.5.1.0
Swears! I personally always use the enter key (not on keypad).

Does Eclipse have some sort of keyboard assignment?

He is so upset that his keypad enter isn't the same as the
keyboard enter.

Actually, it's been there awhile. I'm still on 9.1.1.1.

Matthew,

That's just nuts! Never knew that. It
changed in 9.5.1.1. Wow.

Thank you so much!

Bill,

What Enter key are you using? The Enter in the number pad behaves
differently than the one in the QWERTY. The number pad one will split the

line at the cursor while the standard Enter will only create the new line.

Matt,

Still does the same thing. I unchecked ALL sql formatting options with no

effect. Still indents to whatever the line above it is. Weird.

Are you editing a SQLRPGLE? If so you have the auto formatting options
turned on. Search in the preferences for " free-form sql " and uncheck
the automatic options.

In the RDI editor.

When the cursor is positioned at the end of a line and enter is pressed,
that line will adjust to the left or right and line up with the line above

it for with no regard to spacing.

before:
(column#)
123456789012345678901234567890
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx (line above)
@@@@@xxxxxxxxxxxxx (cursor) is here and now press enter

(@= blanks)

results in:
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx (line above)
xxxxxxxxxxxxx
(cursor) now on this line

Any ideas would be appreciated. We've uninstalled RDI and reinstalled
with no change.

Bill
