As I said originally, using this update site worked:
http://master.dl.sourceforge.net/project/isphere/eclipse/rdi8.0/

The 302 (redirect) is sent by sourceforge as it is attempting to redirect all downloads to the mirror sites.

The iSphere project may not have the site.xml file setup correctly.

By using the master.dl.sourceforge.net URL, sourceforge processes a different site.xml, which appears to take care of the redirect issue.

The reference I found suggested mirroring the site.xml file into the project workspace.

This may or may not help fix the iSphere site, but it helped me.

For further reference, I am sitting behind an NTLM authenticating Proxy server.
And my RDI Eclipse has httpclient4 disabled to account for that.

It may be that the filetransfer protocol it falls back on doesn't do a redirect very well.
I'm not sure. So far, the iShpere site is the only site that I have this issue with.

Chris,

I do not know why your RDi reports an "unknown response code" error for the http 302 error. "302" is a redirection error, that I expect to be known to RDi.

Anyway, if using the update site does not work, download the zip file and add it as a "local update site". Then update iSphere from there.

Thomas.
