Mark,

Today I fixed a problem for Italian job logs. The problem was that the
page number label (English: "Page") contained a dot like this: "Pag.".

If that is the case for your job log, too, you can fix it like this:

a) Start RDi and open any job log with the Job Log Explorer to create
file "example_joblogparser.properties".

b) Goto
[workspace]\.metadata\.plugins\biz.isphere.joblogexplorer\joblogparser

c) Copy "example_jobLogParser.properties" to "jobLogParser.properties".

d) Change property "page.number.label" to:
page.number.label=[a-zA-Z.]+

e) Save "jobLogParser.properties".

f) Try to open your job log again.

Hi Thomas,

I have successfully upgraded and am having a look at the new job log explorer but unfortunately it won't load any of my job logs saying "Invalid format of job log file. Could not find first line of job log. The first line must start with the IBM I licensed program name and the release of the operating system, e.g. 5770SS1 V7R2M0".

My job logs from today all have " 5770SS1 V7R1M0 100423 Job Log USFSH23 15/12/16 07:06:38 Page 1" as their first line, note there is a space at the beginning of the line. This isn't causing the issue is it? If not, what am I doing worng?

Best regards,
Mark

Subject: [WDSCI-L] Announcement iSphere 3.0.0.b002

Hi Folks,

I want to let you know, that iSphere 3.0.0.b002 is available now.

This is what we changed and added since 2.9.3:

• Incremented version number of iSphere library to 3.0.
• Added new feature "iSphere Job Log Explorer".
• Added option "Match message ID" to the iSphere Message File Search.
• Added option to include the message id to the iSphere message file
search.
• Added option "Send message" to the iSphere Data Queue Monitor.
• Added preference option to specify how to open spooled files
that have been downloaded to the PC. Options: Viewer|Editor.
• Changed STRPREPRC plug-in to properly remove user actions on
shutdown.

The most important thing to know is that you need to update your iSphere library to v3.0.

The "iSphere Job Log Explorer" is a new feature. If you want to install it, you need to update your iSphere plug-in via "Install New Software".
The job log explorer shall help you exploring job logs. Job logs can be loaded from active jobs (API) and from QPJOBLOG (parser) spooled files and from local files (parser). You can filter the messages for various attributes and search them for strings. Messages can be colored depending on their severities.

Feel free to look at the iSphere help to get an idea of the job log
explorer:

Regards,

Thomas.
