binding step... RDi does not report those anywhere.

Have you seen this RFE? Maybe you're one of the 23 votes it currently has.
(But it's still an "Uncommitted Candidate".)

if this is implemented, finding the RDi-submitted compile would be as easy
as finding it in the green screen. You would be able to use either the Job
Status view or WRKUSRJOB on the green screen and easily locate the compile
by job name.
