Dan,
The Rational License Key Center is where you get the floating license file
(key). From what I remember, the key was generated for your license server
install (during the key generation process it asks for info from your
license server).
Here is the getting started guide:
ftp://ftp.software.ibm.com/software/rational/web/lkc/GettingStartedEnglish.pdf
or the FAQ
ftp://ftp.software.ibm.com/software/rational/web/lkc/FAQ_english.pdf. Both
are available from
https://www-01.ibm.com/software/rational/support/licensing/.
Thanks,
Eric

Thanks Eric,
I've installed RLKS. I do not understand your statement: "You will need to
get your key from the Rational Key Center to import into your license
server once it is installed." I'm seeing the License Key Administrator
Wizard right now, and the options are 1) Point to a Rational License Server
to get my licenses, 2) Import a Rational License File, 3) Get, Return, or
Move Keys. If I choose the first option, the next dialog has the name of
my pc as the Server Name, which I expected.
Shouldn't we already have the license key file in our possession when we
purchased the license?

Dan,
The Rational License Server is very lightweight.

You will need to get your key from the Rational Key Center to import into
your license server once it is installed. Then you go into IBM
Installation Manager and configure the RDi RPG&COBOL Tools license to
point
to your Rational License Server.
Thanks,
Eric
