Answer to Chris's question: Eclipse PHP Development Tools project (PDT)
http://www.zend.com/en/company/community/pdt

I never had a change to actually dive in and use it, but I thought Zend Studio had functionality to move from test to production... I could be wrong.

I agree with Chris. Change Management is key.

Thanks,
Scott Johnson

Question: What plugin are you using to gain PHP Syntax highlighting in RDI?

We use Aldon LM(e) to get PHP code from Development to Production. It is the version of Aldon that works with Stream files. Aldon has plugins that work with Eclipse.

A Change Management tool that work with stream files and runs on the iSeries would probably work well for you.
When we first starting using PHP we would use an SVN repository and just pull the code to the Production System from the repository.

Subject: [WDSCI-L] Using RDi for PHP Development

Hey all,

Is anyone currently using RDi to develop PHP code for Zend server? We're currently using it here and the programmer came to me and asked if there's an automated way to move the PHP pages from our development box to the production box? Right now he's just manually copying the files over from one box to the other, but it would be nice if there was a "deploy" button that would automate this process.

We've tried using the Zend Studio but he prefers RDi as it's more stable and he's able to flip between RPG and PHP projects with ease.

Thankee-sai!

/b;
