Hi,

What I mean with RTC/Arcad are in fact 3 different solutions:
- only implementation of RTC: source control of RPG, work items, planning, ... can be integration with other rational tools like Rational Quality Manager, Rational Doors Next Gen, ... for quality and requirements. (Needs RDi)
- only implementation of Arcad: source control, build, deploy to different sites, test environments, ... (Can be RDi, or 5250)
- implementation of RTC together with Arcad: best of both worlds: planning, work items of RTC, possible integration with RQM, Doors,... and strength of Arcad in the build and deploy to different sites, test environments, ... (Needs RDi)

Hi Mark

I noticed that Jeroen mentioned Arcad along with RTC - I think there is a relationship there - and Arcad would not have been free.

So maybe this could be an interesting approach - maybe the free RTC is limited to Java control, while Arcad is using some RTC features - I haven't looked at these things, so won't speculate any further.

Cheers
Vern

Hi,

I implement RTC/Arcad as source control. RTC has a plugin for both RDi (RPG) and eclipse (Java). So both RPG and java sources are going to the same repository.
RTC (Rational Team Concert) is free up to 10 developers, feel free to contact me for more information.

What options are available for doing source code control (check out, check in, version control, etc) from within RDi in a mixed Java and RGP environment?
