Thank you everyone for your suggestions.
I'm thinking RDi needs improvement for their else statements.
What I wound up doing is taking the indentation of the else statement and
copying it in the alt+f
then changing the else to if and doing a previous. Hit the spot of the
beginning if.
So that solved my problem. Eyes are getting old or I could have done the
same by hand.
If the c+shift+o worked in the indentation section, that would have been
good too, but it does not.
I like the c+s+o and will use that a lot!
Now I will know where the else (if there) and end is before doing the Visio
flowchart making this boring project a little easier.
Thanks again,
Craig

Use right-click>Source>Show Block Nesting or Ctrl-Shift-O instead. But you
do have to start on an enclosing if/endif. It will show you all the nesting
of all enclosed ifs (or select/when).
Enjoy

I downloaded 9.5 a couple of weeks ago.
When I try ctl+shift+m on an else statement, it gives me an error.

This support was added to RDi a few releases ago. What level are you on?

related if for else
Hope someone can help me. I am documenting a huge program and although I
put indentation on I am getting lost on else statements (which If they
belong to) I'm now nested 12 levels deep and have come across an else
statement that I don't know what it's an else of. I can do a ctl+shift+m on
an end if to see the if it belonged to. Anything I can do to see the
associated If on an else statement? TIA, Craig -- This is the Rational
