Robert,

Glad to see that it works, now. I am not in the office this week and hence cannot dig deeper into the problem. Let us hope that it continues working. We may try to figure out more about it when it fails working again.

Hi Thomas,

Sorry for taking so long to back you. I had higher priority work that
needed to get done.

When I checked the \org.eclipse.rse.ui.prefs file I saw...

com.ibm.etools.iseries.rse.ui.generic.lib=RROGERSON2;LMIGOILIB;RROGERSON;PGLIB;RROGERSONG;RROGERSON1;*LIBL;*USRLIBL;*CURLIB;*ALLUSR;*ALL

com.ibm.etools.iseries.rse.ui.lib=RROGERSON;*LIBL;*CURLIB

What I saw in the library dropdown for the Library in the iSphere Search
was RROGERSON;*LIBL;*CURLIB. So I changed it to
com.ibm.etools.iseries.rse.ui.lib=LMIGOILIB;RROGERSON;PGLIB;*LIBL;*USRLIBL;*CURLIB;*ALLUSR;*ALL

It now works as desired. Could you have been mistaken as to which
setting is being checked?

Anyway, it now works for me how I hoped it would. Thanks for your help
in finding the solutions.

Rob,

I also get my last search items in the drop down boxes. The library,
file and member input drop down boxes belong to the
QSYSSysMemberPrompt widget, which is provided by the IBM RSE plug-in.
Therefore there is nothing I can do here for you.

The search items are stored in directory
"[workspace]\.metadata\.plugins\org.eclipse.core.runtime\.settings\org.eclipse.rse.ui.prefs"
when you leave RDi:

com.ibm.etools.iseries.rse.ui.generic.lib=ISPHEREDVP;*LIBL;*USRLIBL;*CURLIB;*ALLUSR;*ALL

com.ibm.etools.iseries.rse.ui.generic.file.src=QUSRSPCSRC;QDTAARASRC;QRPGLESRC;*

com.ibm.etools.iseries.rse.ui.generic.mbr=TST*;DE*;DEMO*;*

Maybe there is a problem writing the file.

Is there anything in the Eclipse error log?

Thomas.

Darren, I get that too. The seearch field text is populated. What I
was referring to was the entries in the drop down boxes for
Library/File and member.

When I use the iSphere source file search on the library/file/member
drop down boxes my recently selected entries do not exist. For
example, if I recently did a search of library RROGERSON2 the next
time I search I would expect that RROGERSON2 would be available for
selection. It is
not.
Could someone check that this the case for them as well so I know if
this issue is related to my installation or if it is the same for
everyone.

I get the last used search criteria when I hit Search - iSphere Source
File
