So why didn't the verifier catch it? Was it valid ILE RPG? If so then
there is still a bug with the live RPG parser, and I would appreciate you
pasting in the offending line of source.

Thank you Buck that was it.
I accidentally changed an incoming parm to use *INZSR instead of the
variable name.
Don't know how I did it, but as soon as I fixed that the outline magically
appeared.

Thanks again,

Craig

It is a convoluted program, and that's why it needs to be documented.
Anyone have any ideas as to how to get this to work?

In the past, the Outline View sometimes got confused if the source code had
a syntax error, like a line I am in the middle of typing, or something
included in a /copy member.

Look through the source for squiggly underlines, and also down the left
side
for yellow caution triangles. That's a hint that the Outline View is
seeing
what it thinks are errors in the source code.

I have a vague recollection that there is a scenario regarding what column
code within a /COPY starts in, but I couldn't find it with a quick peep at
the archives. It's probably in a thread that drifted from the subject
line...

I definitely feel for you; I have some hideous programs that I've tried
with
the Outline View but I'm afraid to say that I find a compiler cross
reference more reliable. I intend to open some PMRs when I get time to
catch a breath...
