Okay, my DDS does not compile if it is lowercase. So, I turn on UPPERCASE by default for my preference:
Windows>Preference>Remote Systems>Remote Systems LPEX Editor>IBM i Parsers>DDS
Checkbox "CHECKED" for "Automatic uppercasing"...
So, I am just wondering if the developer has that turned on. I seem to be able to do mixed case for ILE RPG, but last I check it is required for DDS to be UPPERCASE for Display-files... <grin> (Not counting stuff in quotes.) <smirk>
But, with that said, it is supposed to leave alone things in quotes.
I love the screen designer, but usually do a lot of my source updates in the Source-Tab. Just easier and faster at times...

Subject: [WDSCI-L] Screen Designer periodically UPPERCASES text
Has anyone else seen where the Screen Designer occasionally switches blocks of text constants to uppercase?
I've not had it happen to me except maybe once or twice but for other developers in our shop, text constants are often all switched to UPPERCASE. I haven't seen a pattern as to when this happens. Being responsible to review code changes, I compare the modified source to what we have in production. I see things switching to UPPERCASE more frequently than I can be comfortable with.
I would open a PMR, but I have no idea how to reproduce it--I'm too far removed from the time the developer has changed code to when I'm reviewing their changes for the log to be meaningful.
Thanks,
Michael Quigley
