Thx for the effort you and your team have put into following this up,
Edmund. At least this clarifies the situation.
I'm afraid I'm unable to submit RFE's - something I shall have to leave to
others.
Brian.

I just spoke to the developer and custom perspectives is not yet supported.
I wasn't aware of this.
I encourage you to open an RFE for it.

Edmund, I have tried exporting/importing everything, but my chosen font for
LPEX (Liberation Mono) did not port. (reverted back to Consolas). Just a
minor niggle having to change Preferences for the LPEX editor after
importing settings. (I am used to doing this anyway, but had hoped the
export/import would save me a little effort.)
Having to set up User Perspectives from scratch again is much more work -
esp. as copying Workspaces does play well with the 9.1 to 9.5 transition.
Thx for all your efforts.
Brian.

Hi Dave, I would have expected these to have been included in our
export/push to client support.
Do you have any clues about why/if they are excluded?
I can't find where custom perspectives are persisted in the .metadata.
Brian, when I first exported the Lpex default font did not appear. But
when I did it again and selected everything on export and import, it did
show up.

Edmund, in an earlier post you said,
“If you have RDi 9.1.1 or later you have the ability to export your
settings
(different than making a copy of a workspace) and that can be imported to
any other workspace. I recommend this as a supported way of getting your
connections and filters backed up.”
I just tried this, in order to port 9.1.1.1 settings to 9.5. I noticed a
couple of things that don’t appear to port across:
- User-defined Perspectives
- Default LPEX font
Or maybe I didn’t tick a box someplace?
I take your point that copying the workspace is a less desirable approach.
Caused all manner of “incompatibility” issues for me within 9.5!
