If you have RDi 9.1.1 or later you have the ability to export your settings
(different than making a copy of a workspace) and that can be imported to
any other workspace. I recommend this as a supported way of getting your
connections and filters backed up.

On re-booting my PC I seem to have lost my list of remote connections. Is
there a file or directory that I should look at restoring?

In the workspace:
.plugins\org.eclipse.rse.core\profiles\PRF-pc_name\

There are directories called H.connexion_name which hold the details
of each connexion. They are referenced in multiple places within the
configuration directories; most notably in
PRF-pc_name\node.properties. Basically you want to restore the entire
profiles directory.

I used to periodically make a copy of my entire workspace, but I
haven't had any workspace oddities since 9.1. I did do an Export...
to keep a copy that way but haven't had to use it for purposes of
restoring a lost bit of configuration.

I noticed in my
workspace I have a directory called RemoteSystemsTempFiles last changed
sometime back in May. Not sure where that name came from.

That's the cache where RDi keeps the source members as you work on them.
