Hi Paul
9.5 includes upgrading Eclipse to 4.4. While these provides new functionality it also changed the order of some events which throws off some of our refreshing code. A very similar issue showed up in the beta, that I fixed. I will have to investigate this one. Currently in security line at airport.
But I wanted to tell you that there another way of accomplishing search for all occurrences of a variable. On the toolbox above the editors there is a highlighter looking button. The hover says "Toggles marking occurrences of the given entity". If you toggle this on, and then double click on the name of interest to select it, then all references and declarations will be highlighted throughout the source. The right hand side of the editor will have rectangles corresponding to each occurrence, allowing you to quickly navigate to the them. The advantage is that it understands RPG and will not be fooled by similar spelling. The color if the highlight can be customized under Preferences>General>Editors>Text Editor>Annotations Occurrences (org.eclipse.imp.occurrenceAnnotation)

Check it out.

Paul Bailey --- [WDSCI-L] Filter by Selection (since v9.5) ---
From:"Paul Bailey" <PaulBailey@xxxxxxxxxx>To:"Rational Developer for IBM i / Websphere Development Studio Client forSystem i & iSeries" <wdsci-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx>Date:Mon, Sep 21, 2015 8:56 AMSubject:[WDSCI-L] Filter by Selection (since v9.5)
I've just installed v9.5, and I've not had any major problems. One of my team can't update IM to the correct level, so is having to uninstall everything first before he can go forward, but that is the only issue so far. I have a keypress set under "User Key Actions" for filterSelection. I select some text, press my key and I find every mention of that text in the source at once (and then I use CTRL-W to return to unfiltered source). Since the update to 9.5, pressing my filterSelection keypress doesn't work unless I click on the screen after I've pressed my magic key. If the source is already filtered, the filterSelection keypress works fine, but once I press CTRL-W then select something else for filterSelection the keypress appears not to work until I click in the source code with the mouse. This is a minor issue, but I was wondering if anyone else is seeing this before I think about a bug report. -Paul. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Important This email transmission and any files with it are strictly confidential to the intended recipient and may be legally privileged.
