Doug,

In regard to trailing spaces, on save they should be removed. However, I've always believed that on open they should be removed as well, and that's been a little thorn in my side for a while. I thought I had an RFE about it, but I didn't see it, and my search didn't turn up anyone else's RFE on the topic, so I created one.

In regard to the Save button, I thought that issue was addressed. I recall having that issue, but I haven't seen it happen in a while now.

Kurt,

I have similar issues too. Seems that randomly the Save icon grays out, and I have to click on Save All to save, even though I may not want to Save All. I do notice that, sometimes when this happens, if I click on the Outline view and click back to the editor, that the Save icon becomes active again. But this is not consistent behavior.

Another thing I STRONGLY dislike about RDI is that the trailing spaces are not automatically trimmed. I have mentioned this before, and the solution was to change settings (which made no difference), and then told to manually enter the TRIM command each time I open a source member. That is ridiculous, since in the WDSC days, I KNOW the trailing spaces were AUTOMATICALLY removed.

But, since RDI is way better than SEU, I deal with it, but it is ridiculous that working things break between releases.
