Both of these RFEs are based on doing simultaneous debugging. In my example, I want to compare how the Production version of a program works against a program which I have made a change to. Or, debug between two environments to identify if there is some kind of data issue between them. Some of the scenarios debug on the same partition, just different environments. Or I could debug between two different partitions. I have found RDi is able to handle simultaneous debugging with no problem, but the visual aids to see what is going on and keep track of things is the handicap, which is the basis for both of these RFE resubmissions.

And yes, for 76864, it is an interesting (and sometimes painful) approach but has been instrumental in solving an issue or two along the way...you just have to step a few lines, switch to the other debug session, step a few lines, switch back to the first debug session, wash, rinse, repeat. If it could be simplified a bit, that will help make it less of a chore.

I voted.

Regarding 76863 - Excellent request. Quite frankly I've always assumed this was user ignorance on my part. Not knowing how to set up the monitor view properly to see all the information.

Regarding 76864 - Ouch. Painful way to solve a problem - debugging on two systems simultaneously. But I can see how the limitations would make the process more difficult.

Thanks for taking the time to re-submit these. I have encouraged my fellow team members to vote also.

subject: [WDSCI-L] Resubmitted Debug RFEs

I received some e-mails last night about several declined requests I submitted a year ago that are now eligible for resubmission. They all centered on RDi Debug and some things I wanted to see enhanced in this area. Of the four, there are two I actually found out how to do and I don't consider valid RFEs anymore. The other two are areas I think can still be improved especially in using RDi to parallel (simultaneously) debug two applications.

I have resubmitted these as new RFEs. Take a look and see if these make sense and vote on them.
