I would take a look at your connection jobs and see if it’s hanging up and allocating the data server so no one else can use it.
I’m not sure if it’s QZDASOINIT that is actually copying the member or the QZRCSRVS job that would do that.
When it hangs up look for the jobs of the user that tried to compile.

I’ve only seen that kind of behavior when someone forgets to change that preference (to ‘selected') and accidentally copies down 20K members to their iProject library
They they kill RDi and at that point you have to manually kill their QZRCSRVS and QZDASOINIT jobs before they restart RDi.
I’ve never been patient enough to wait a few hours to see if it resolves itself.

subject: [WDSCI-L] Push selected resources

Hi,

Within RDi, we work with iProjects. One of our projects contain +-30 000 sources. We have the option "Push selected resources if there are any changes" checked on. When someone does a compile with remote actions, the window with "Pushing selected resources" keeps going on forever. Most of the time it works fine, and it copies the source and does a compile.

When it goes wrong however and someone has the "Pushing selected resources" window hanging, this option doesn't work with anyone anymore. So then it hangs with everyone. After a few hours everything goes fine again.

Someone have a clue what could be the cause?
