Interesting situation, Brian - reminds me how things in Ops Nav "worked" when changing spooled files.

I think this is a nice candidate for submitting an RFE - the design point seems to be something like each source member might go to different source files. This IS possible in RSE, since you CAN select members from different source files, then take the Copy option.

But if they are all from the same source file, maybe there should be no need to prompt for each - or prompt only for the destination.

Have you tried dragging and dropping - I think that can be done, even between systems. If that is true, are you still prompted? Just curious early in the morning!

Cheers
Vern

Folks, a simple “how to” problem I cannot resolve. Suppose I have several source members I wish to copy from one source file to another. In PDM I would use Option 3). In RSE I can use Copy/Paste. However, in RSE I am also prompted with the CPYSRCF command for each member to copy.

Is there a way to avoid the prompting in RDi/RSE? Is there a Preference somewhere? It can get mighty annoying when copying several members. (OTOH, I guess PDM Option 3. is more efficient because the members are not being downloaded/uploaded to/from the client.)

Thx in advance.
