I had to laugh at that "cutting edge" comment, Booth.

I'm putting some presentations together for folks at my work to move them off of (ugh!) fixed-format RPG.

One of the lines in my spiel is "Free form has been around for 14 years - it is NOT a fad".

Isn't the best work-around to convert each old program to free format as
the first step in any maintenance project, and write only free format
new programs?

Its not as if free format is some brand new cutting edge technology; its
been around a long time.
