Honestly, how hard is it to read compile listings, though? You don't
have to know RPG to understand the compile listings, in my opinion.
Personally, I would expect any competent programmer to be able to make
sense of it, especially if given a few tips on where to look, and
maybe a smattering of IBM-specific explanations for things. Certainly,
if you don't already have a tool for it, and don't want to spend
money, it's going to be quicker, easier, and smoother to just educate
the person who needs to read it than to write your own parser.

I imagine that could help in writing your own tool.  But as mentioned
before, still not easier than a few minutes of explanation.
