Those of you, who cannot install the library from the save file, are
encouraged to follow the installation steps that are described on the
iSphere help page:

http://isphere.sourceforge.net/beta-version/help/

Click "Install Instruction" and "Install iSphere Library". Then scroll down
to "Using an i Project". This topic describes how to install the iSphere
library from a IBM i Project. Briefly described, you need to follow these
steps:

a) Install the SVN adapter plug-in to RDi.
b) Checkout the iSphere host project from SourceForge or download a
snapshot if your security policy does not allow to connect to SourceForge.
c) Push the iSphere host project to your IBM i.
d) Build the iSphere library with the BUILD command.

For the next releases you can update your existing i Project with the
changes from SourceForge, push the changes on the server and BUILD the library.

Frankly that is not as elegant as using the iSphere upload feature but on
the other hand it is not that difficult.

Regards,

Thomas.

Hi Folks,

This is just a short note to let you know, that iSphere 2.6.0 beta 8 is available, now. Beta 7 was an internal release and has not been published.

The main improvement is the new iSphere Message File Compare Editor.

Please notice that:

a) You need to update your iSphere library.

b) The library cannot be restored to V5R3 because the latest release, we can create save files for, is V5R4, now.

Regards,

Thomas.
