Just curious, does the WRKMBRAMT have the Option 55 =Merge like WRKMBRPDM
had? Have not found a good RDi process for this.

Also, I am just wondering why create a AMT version, why not just use the
same PDM, but shut off the editing of Cobol, RPG, etc...., instead of
changing the names. Why can't it just be made simple, IBM seems to love
changing names and getting people confused? I am somewhat younger and code
all our COBOL in RDi(I have never used SEU to code) , but see the
advantages of some parts of PDM (I also like the DFU feature). Just my
rant on a Tuesday.

Thanks,

Just in case people aren't aware.
There is an alternative to ADTS on the host called AMTS
It is cheaper, has SEU and PDM but just not the RPG, COBOL, DDS editing
support in SEU/SDA.
IBM recognizes that for system admins, PDM and CL editing is still very
useful and so here is a way to get it cheap so it can co-exist with RDi
licenses.

That depends. Are we talking SEU or PDM?

Over on the RPG400 list, there are a few threads discussing the value
proposition of RDi. I don't mention this to encourage anyone here to go
over there to beat a dead horse but, rather, to ask those of you who have
abandoned ADTS how the loss of PDM affected you, if at all.

I'm still learning the RDi ropes, and my shop won't be dropping ADTS
anytime soon, but wondering if others' experience of losing PDM presented
any challenges.
