Hi Brian,
I was away at IBM Interconnect last week and I couldn't keep on top of this
very active list.

I did some research and I believe that are referring to the DBGENCKEY
parameter to the RPG compiler that was added in 7.1
The RDi debugger did not end up supporting encrypted listings since they
felt that ISVs could use local source debug on a remote machine and achieve
the same objective of hiding the source. Apparently this decision was made
back in 2010 and we have not heard any feedback since that time. I hope
you are able to use source view to solve your requirements as well.

Subject: [WDSCI-L] Debugging with encrypted Listing view
Sent by: "WDSCI-L" <wdsci-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx>

Trying out the encrypted listing debug view for RPG IV. Using STRDBG it
works just fine. A prompt appears to enter the encryption key, (if not
already specified on the STRDBG command.)

However, when using SEP debug in RDi, the Debug Perspective appears but all
manner of Java runtime error windows pop up. There is no opportunity to
enter the encryption key either when defining the SEP or during the debug
session.

Am I missing a setting/preference somewhere? I have cast an eye over launch
configurations but cannot see anything that will help.

Anyone else tried this out with success?

Brian Parkins.
