Subject: [WDSCI-L] Debug Server auto-stop?
Hi,
When you right-click an "Objects" sub-item in your connection, there is a list of remote servers that you can start/stop. Additionally, the debug server will automatically start when it is required, so is there a way to end the debug server automatically?
A situation turned up last night where exclusive file access was required by someone, but it turned out that a job related to the debug server had a lock on the file. As no RDi session was running (we enforce shutdowns of all PCs after a mandatory virus check in the late evening) I'm guessing that a debug session went bad somewhere and remained running on the server, but unfortunately the techy doesn't even know how to spell RDi so was totally flummoxed and had to leave his updates until us RDi users turned up. As the debug server is rarely required, and all of us rarely remember to shut it down after we've finished, I was wondering if there is a way to shut it down on a schedule to prevent this kind of situation happening again?
-Paul.
