Regarding SEU sequence numbers, there is an action for finding them in RDi which is really handy if a member hasn't been and can't be resequenced: locateSequenceLine. Enter it on the command line (ugh!) or bind it to a key (I use ctrl-alt-L). I have to browse a lot of production source when chasing problems, and my coworkers don't often resequence anything.

Vern,
Just another way, to share...
window>Preferences>Remote Systems>Remote System LPEX --> Check box Resequence lines at save
I always turn that on, so the Actual line number and the Sequence numbers match up...
When I save my source... <grin>
I like the shortcut ctrl+L, and then I type in my line-number at the prompt. To goto a line number...
I use that when usually discussing code with another RPG Developer, and who might say got to line xxx, and note this "interesting Code"... Yada Yada... <grin>
I show both the line numbers, and the source-date by default in my LPEX editor, I have a "WIDE-SCREEN". <grin>
window>Preferences>Remote Systems>Remote System LPEX --> Check box "Show data area"
Most others like it turned off by default. It is your IDE, use it to your preferences! <Big Grin>
Of course, as you mentioned, I use the old SEU Trick, of over-typing the Sequence/prefix-area too!

Hi John
RDi has its own line numbers, which are just consecutive. So far as I can tell, there is no attempt to reconcile the numbers.
It can display the SEU sequence numbers - there's an option for that.
And the SEU sequence number area can be used for SEU line commands.
Personally I don't use the actual sequence numbers, except as a place to put the line commands - those are still very powerful.
I just tried - in SEU I can put a sequence number in that area and the source will move to that sequence number. In RDi I discovered I can type a number, but it goes to the LINE number, not the SEU sequence number.
Might be an option.
A favorite in SEU for me - space over leading zeroes and Enter will also position to that line - not available in RDi - and I've never missed it.
In RDi the sequence number area is called the prefix area - and the sequence numbers are display-only.
F1 for help in that area is instructive - many of the same line commands as SEU and some new stuff, so far as I can tell, and some not there but handled elsewhere.
Cheers
Vern

I don't know whether RDi is like SEU in that it uses the embedded line
numbers unless there's a conflict, or whether RDi is providing its own
sequential line numbers, independent of the source PF. John Y.
