I don't know...

I use the "AS/400 Toolbox for Java Default" for my connection to my "AS400"/DB2 for i.

I do see a "Property" on the JDBC Driver: "AS/400 Toolbox for Java Default". That is on an Optional Tab on the Connection property...

So, if you could share a tip on that later, that would be great.

I must admit I do NOT know how to navigate Data Studio/Data Development in RDI...

What I "need" is to see DB2 tables by both ALIAS and System-Name like in iNavigator. I hope that I am just missing a "preference" or something in Data-Studio, that I need to turn on to see BOTH Alias/System-Names when browsing DB2 Tables/Indexes/Views...

PS. So for now, the database view is unusable for browsing in RDI. I really want to SO MUCH be a fan of RDI, but it seems to miss the mark. Or it could be very well, I am so lost in the navigation, I cannot figure it out.

OH well, at least iNavigator show me what I need!!! <Grin>

If I remember correctly (no way to test right now) there is a filter setting in the JDBC connection that you define for the connection. Different exclude/include type options. Will that do the job for you?

Oh well, at least it works in iNavigator.

PS. We have modernized many files, but not all. RPGLE programs can use the old-system name. And new Embedded SQL can use the friendly longer/alias name.
