Authority is the same as object authority - I don't know if an RDi log will show anything, but your job logs should.

And RDi doesn't have its own product libraries that I know of - nor even IFS directories - it's a client that uses the host servers, not an application that runs on the i.

So see if you can see your host server jobs - there's a item in RSE of RDi, or you can

WRKOBJLCK youruser *usrprf

and see what they are.

I may be missing something, of course - and what function were you using when you got these messages?

Does anyone know where I can find the authority configuration requirements for RDI on the IBMi host? I am looking for the minimum authority required to the product libraries, as well as the IFS directories that RDI uses. I am having authority messages in my error log, but, according to IBM, the log does not show what it is trying to access, it only shows that an error has occurred. When the host servers are started, are there specific requirements there for authority, as well as parameter values that need to be set?

I have RDI 9.1 installed.

Thank you,

Doug
