Well, this may be the solution. Maybe just for the archives for the next time I don't remember the secure storage password. :>)
Under preferences there is an option to clear credentials. Used that option, it wanted my IBM id again and then somehow breezed through the secure storage password with what I entered. This time I wrote it down, although not on a post it note yet.
And I seem to be updating.

Thanks,

Dave

The difficulty I had yesterday was that Installation Manager asked for the secure storage password. I vaguely remember from setting up this new to me laptop that I used my network password.
The last time I updated was at least two password changes ago and I don't know the password any more.
I've tried several generations but no joy yet.
Is there any way to reset the secure storage password for my installation manager?

Thanks,

Dave B

Ken,

They will need to install RDi 9.1 since it is a new version. They can start with the trial site to get the 9.1 image if they want (
http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/downloads/r/rdi/) but they will need to apply the RDi 9.1 RPG and COBOL Tools license.

If you do a web install of the 9.1 trial, it will automatically be at 9.1.1 level.

Thanks,
Eric
