The default key to change to lower case (as others have said) is Alt+I.
Alt+L is the default for block marking a line.

But as Robert says, you probably accidentally hit Alt+I with the section
of code highlighted. I do it occasionally, but I'm pretty good at catching
myself and I just hit Ctrl+Z to undo the change. If I've made too many
other changes, I go back, mark a block of code and use Alt+K to upper-case
it (and Alt+I to lower-case it) as needed.

Re: [WDSCI-L] Code got converted to lower case

Terry,

Alt + L will convert the selected block to lower case. So could you
have had the code in question selected and inadvertently hit Alt+L?

Is there a function to change selected code from one case to
another? I don't know what I did but I think I had a section of code
selected and something I did changed the first letter of every
variable name in that section, AND THE LITERALS, to lowercase. Of
course the variable names aren't a big deal but the literals are.
Fortunately the whole program or the whole procedure wasn't
affected. Anyone know what happened?
